Science and Technology in Everyday life

 

Science and Technology are and are present in almost all our daily activities. Throughout our history, technology has been developed to solve our daily problems, leaning heavily on scientific knowledge.

The line between science and technology becomes increasingly blurred, therefore, urged to reflect on how we influence and the changes that come in the future. This Thursday we will focus on four areas where science is playing a key role in our daily lives: Transportation, Health, Food and especially in new technologies and forms of communication.

The technology used in the communication existed since the invention of writing, which allowed the dissemination of knowledge, through television and its massiveness, and in recent years the Internet and smartphones, devices that are now used by 60% of the world population.

It is clear that people no longer interact as before, now, social networks allow a horizontal communication citizen citizen. Without going any further, in Chile there are more than 9 million users on Facebook, therefore, is not only important for the interaction between people, but also for businesses and media are incorporating this new in its relations with your audience, also generating a feedback. Internet in the end, is much more than a technology, it is a media interaction and social organization.

Science and technology are and will be present in almost all our daily activities, but what the past about these new technologies tell us? Where do they lead to future ?.
